Congratulations to the four Rowland Hall seniors who will be competing on college sports teams beginning in the 2023–2024 school year.
Congratulations to Rowland Hall senior Jada Crockett, who will be running track and field at NCAA D1 school California State University, Fresno. Jada answers questions about her athletic journey and what she's looking forward to as a collegiate athlete.
In 2022, Todd Brickson, program director of Rowmark Ski Academy, located at Rowland Hall in Salt Lake City, celebrates 20 years with the world-class ski racing program.
In November 2022, Rowland Hall senior, and standout youth golfer, Arden Louchheim, signed her National Letter of Intent, committing to play for the University of Nebraska women's golf team beginning in fall 2023. A longtime dual sport athlete in golf and ski racing, Arden chose to focus fully on golf after her sophomore year of high school in the hope of becoming a collegiate golfer. Rowland Hall senior, Rowmark ski racer, and US Ski Team athlete Mary Bocock has committed to ski for Darmouth College, beginning in fall 2023. Mary shares more about her decision and her ski racing journey.
Junior ski racer Elisabeth Bocock has long dreamed about joining the US Ski Team, and this week, her dream came true: US Ski Team announced 42 nominees for the 2022–2023 competition season, and Elisabeth is one of three newly nominated members of the women’s Development Team.
Rowland Hall senior Briggs Ballard recently committed to play lacrosse at Texas Christian University (TCU). Upper School Athletics
Rowland Hall’s Upper School is classified as a Division 2A school in Region 17 of the Utah High School Activities Association.
Middle School Athletics
Middle School athletes compete in the Wasatch Athletic Conference and can be three-season athletes.
Updates from The Finish Line
Each year, the Deseret News recognizes top overall athletic programs in each classification with the Deseret News All-Sports Awards. In 2022–2023, Rowland Hall took fourth place in the 2A classification.

Congratulations to 2022–2023 senior athletes, who were recognized by the Rowland Hall Athletics Department for their contributions to our programs over the past four years.
In spring 2023, 14 Rowland Hall athletes were recognized with Academic All-Region honors and 11 athletes earned Academic All-State.
Seven Rowland Hall athletes were named to their sports' Region 17 All-Region teams for the 2022–2023 season.
In spring 2023, the Utah High School Activities Association recognized Rowland Hall's Coach Kathy Howa as a Gold Star Coach.
In spring 2023, middle schoolers built their skills playing volleyball and soccer and running cross country.
In their inaugural competitive season, the boys ultimate frisbee team honed their skills and improved their play all the way through the state tournament.
The softball team battled hard during the 2023 season, making it to the first round of the 2A state tournament.
The track and field team filled the 2023 season with impressive performances and personal bests—some athletes even broke school and state records.
