Profile
Joe Murray
Joe moved to the United States to play soccer at the University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS), having previously played in the Leinster Senior League, one of Ireland's leading amateur leagues. He was a member of the UIS team that reached the semifinal of the NAIA National Championship in 1995 and 1996. During his college years in Illinois, he also coached at various levels, including competitive club and high school teams. After completing his studies toward a master's degree, he embarked on a 19-year career in information technology consulting. During this time, he continued to play on club teams in Chicago, Florida, and Utah and still plays in the O45 league run by the Utah Soccer Association. In 2018, a career change allowed him to resume his involvement in coaching, initially as Assistant Coach of both boys and girls soccer teams at Rowland Hall, before taking up his current role as Head Coach of the boys team.
