Sam has been at Rowland Hall since 2021 as a sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade PE teacher, as well as a sixth-grade wellness teacher. In the summer of 2023, Sam started summer strength and conditioning for high school students, which continues into the academic school year. Sam grew up in Bondurant, a small town in Iowa, and graduated from Grand View University in Des Moines, IA, where he played football for four years. After college Sam and his wife moved to Wisconsin, where he was a K–6 PE teacher and coached high school baseball and football. Sam spends his free time camping, golfing, and watching football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs win.
