Zander Smith

Class of 2019
Biography:

Zander is a Rowland Hall alum, class of 2019. Throughout his time as a student, he played a significant role on the Rowland Hall boys basketball team, helping to earn two undefeated region championships and a third-place finish in the state tournament in 2019. In his junior year, the program finished with a 19-6 record, marking it the best season in Rowland Hall’s history. Post graduation, Zander attended the University of Alabama, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in commerce and business administration. While majoring in marketing and finance, he spent most of his time outside of class either immersing himself in one of the best college sports programs in the world or hanging out with his fraternity brothers. Zander served two major leadership roles in his fraternity, first as a new member recruiter and then as sage/president. He is thrilled to be back at Rowland Hall, taking on the role of head coach of the boys freshman basketball team and assistant coach for both JV and varsity. Zander has hopes and aspirations to bring Rowland Hall their first state title while serving as a mentor to the young men in the program.
