Steiner Athletic Fields
Rowland Hall boasts two state-of-the-art synthetic turf playing fields, which have become sought after for thousands of players of all ages looking to play soccer or lacrosse. With stunning views, these fields draw admiration from visiting teams, and serve as the home base for the school's highly competitive middle and upper school soccer teams. The regulation competition field, measuring 70 feet by 110 feet, is equipped with tiered stadium seating for hundreds, making it the perfect setting for games and tournaments.
The Den
The Bishop Tuttle Gymnasium, better known on campus as the Den, is Rowland Hall's middle and upper school gym. A traditional and impressive space, this gym has retractable stadium seating for 300 spectators and serves as the home of the high school's basketball and volleyball teams. With six basketball hoops, three volleyball nets, and complete boys and girls locker rooms, the Den is a place where athletes can train, compete, and feel a sense of belonging.
Sparrow Field House
The Sparrow Field House honors the legacy of former Head of School Alan C. Sparrow and his wife, Nancy. Serving as a hub for athletics on the McCarthey Campus, this state-of-the-art facility was built in honor of Alan's lifelong dedication to sports and his immense contributions to the Rowland Hall community during his 28-year tenure as head of school. The Sparrow Field House is a symbol of Rowland Hall's commitment to providing students with top-tier academic and cocurricular programs.
