Sparrow Field House

Named after Rowland Hall's 19th head of school and his wife, the Alan C. and Nancy M. Sparrow Field House honors our former head learner's lifelong love and commitment to athletics, as well as his many contributions to our community,

Alan and Nancy Sparrow joined the Rowland Hall community in the summer of 1992, and for 28 years, Alan oversaw the development of a more diverse and inclusive student body, the growth of preeminent academic and cocurricular programs, and the construction and renovation of multiple campus facilities, including the opening of the McCarthey Campus in 2002 and the Steiner Athletic Fields in 2014.
