The 2025 season for the Rowland Hall boys tennis team was nothing short of remarkable. From the very first match of the season, the Rowland Hall boys demonstrated an impressive level of play. As the season progressed, the anticipation for the state tournament grew. The Rowland Hall boys entered the tournament with high hopes, buoyed by their undefeated record and regional championship victory. The Rowland Hall team fought valiantly, displaying their tenacity and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Ultimately, they secured a commendable second-place finish, losing by only one point, a result that reflects their dedication and hard work throughout the season.
Individual state results were as follows:
- 1st Singles: Andrew Murphy, state semifinalist
- 2nd Singles: Hans Baker, state champion
- 3rd Singles: Duke O’Neil, state semifinalist
- 1st Doubles: Will Damico and Henry Damico, state finalists
- 2nd Doubles: Eric Brown and Evan Owens, state champions
All of the above players received varsity letters, as did Kaya Akkor. Thanks to Coach Boe for all his efforts with the varsity players.
Our JV team was anchored by Brock Smith, who won the annual JV Tournament and a Yonex tennis racquet. Other JV members were David Cross, Harrison Lasater, Gautham Parameswaran, Jack Revoy, Luke Reymann, and Boston Stark. Thanks to Coach Daynes for all her work with our JV team.
