Each sports season, the Region 17 Board of Managers recognizes with Academic All Region honors those seniors who meet the award criteria. The Utah High School Activities Association also recognizes excellence in the classroom with the designation of Academic All-State status, also awarded to senior student-athletes who meet their standards, usually only 10 in each classification and each sport.

Ten Rowland Hall fall sport athletes were recognized with both Academic All-Region and Academic All-State honors this year: Sophie Baker, Marina Peng, and Nadia Scharfstein (girls tennis); Paige Connery and Bea Wall (girls soccer); Kelton Ferriter and Mikko Anderson (boys golf); Dean Hijjawi (boys cross country); and Lauren Bates and Regan Hodson (volleyball).

Congratulations to these Winged Lions on achieving excellence not only in the competitive athletics arena, but also in the classroom.
