The 2025 Rowland Hall girls soccer season was one of new faces, new challenges, and extreme heat, with turf temperatures registering as high as 115 degrees on some days. Under new coaching leadership, and with nearly half of the starting lineup made up of exceptionally talented freshmen, the team made tremendous strides both mentally and physically each week.

Although the season ended in a hard-fought 1–0 double overtime loss in the quarterfinals of the UHSAA 2A State Tournament, the Winged Lions finished 5th in the state with a 10–7 record, a testament to their grit, growth, and teamwork. Seniors Leila Diglisic and Sophia Hijjawi provided invaluable leadership and experience, inspiring the entire squad throughout the season.

The year concluded with a wonderful end-of-season banquet generously hosted by the Diglisic family. Parents and players shared a catered meal and heartfelt speeches celebrating the memories and milestones of 2025. Special thanks to parent liaisons Becky Cichos and Julie Gainer for their outstanding organization, a truly thankless task done with grace, and to Sophie Rumsey, our dedicated team trainer, along with Eden August and Lamiya Diglisic, our tireless team managers and assistants. It was a terrific season filled with growth, perseverance, and pride, a foundation for even greater things to come.
