Girls Basketball
A Team
Coaches: Sam Duffy and Sarah Yoon
This season we competed with a single team, our A Team, finishing in second place after the tournament, losing to a tough Waterford team. We finished the season with a record of 7-1, the only loss being in the championship. Our team developed fundamental skills around the game but also tactics and game plans to compete against other schools at the highest level. Hard work, communication, and leadership were important pieces in the growing success of the team. This season was a ton of fun preparing our athletes for our Upper School programs.
C Team
Coaches: Kayden Al-Mosawi and Lorenzo Parker Pillow
The C Team had a wonderful season of learning and growth, displaying a desire to get better each and every practice and game. This was a team of newcomers to the game of basketball, as this season was the first time playing on a basketball team for nearly all of our players. We worked a lot on what it looks like to play as a team, getting each other involved and playing selflessly. The growth was apparent, with our team beating McGillis in the end-of-season tournament after losing to them by 12 points the first game of the season. I am proud of the steps that each player took to improve and can’t wait to see what the future holds for these up-and-coming basketball players.

B Teams
Coaches: Paulino Beach and Lorenzo Parker Pillow
The two B Teams did a great job of blending the different skill levels and working hard in order to compete during league play. It was fun to see student-athletes step up and lead throughout the season. Practices were fun but emphasized skill development and game play. The season went well, with both teams competing at a high level throughout the season and finishing in the quarterfinals of the Wasatch Athletic Conference (WAC) tournament.
C Teams
Coaches: Sam Duffy and Paulino Beach
We had enough student-athletes to form two C teams this season. They worked hard in practices, with an emphasis on skill development and teamwork. There was a good blend of skill levels and everyone did a wonderful job of listening and applying. The two C Teams had a great season and finished up by playing each other in the WAC championship and earning the first- and second-place trophies!
