Four athletes in our girls soccer program and two athletes in our volleyball program were named to the Region 17 All-Region teams in their respective sports for the 2022 season. Congratulations to soccer players Maile Fukushima, Zakrie Smith, Beatrix Wall, and Elisabeth Bocock, and volleyball players Kat Mantas and Lulu Murphy on being recognized for their outstanding play by the coaches in the region!

Based on their finish at the State 2A Tournament this fall, four of our Winged Lion golfers earned First Team All-State honors: Matt Siegal and Kelton Ferriter (First Team All-State) and Carson Kawabata and Jack Vitek (Honorable Mention All-State). Cross country runner Will Cunningham ran to a spot on the All-State team, finishing eighth in the 2A race.

The Deseret News’ All-State teams in girls soccer and volleyball have not yet been released, so that news will be shared at a later date.

Update November 23, 2022: The Deseret News announced that nine Rowland Hall girls soccer athletes were named to 2022 2A All-State teams. Additionally, junior Zakrie Smith was named 2A Player of the Year and junior Beatrix Wall was named 2A Playoff MVP.
