Stacey Camacho, long-time Winged Lions golf coach, has been named by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) as the NFHS Utah State Coach of the Year for boys golf, “in grateful appreciation of outstanding service and unselfish devotion to interscholastic activities.”

Stacey has served as either a head or assistant golf coach in our program since 2012, for several years as coach of both our boys and girls teams; more recently, he’s headed up our boys golf program only. His knowledge of the game and ability to pass it along to our athletes has been key to six boys region championships (four consecutive since 2018), two girls region titles, and two girls state championships, all captured during his coaching tenure. In addition, multiple players have earned top-10 finishes at state, as well as All-State honors, and many were crowned as individual region champions under his tutelage.
